ART DIRECTOR/ART MANAGER
Get to know me!
I have been working in the video game industry for 29 years, starting as an animator and transitioning to art direction in 2001. Since then, I have primarily been tasked with leading and managing art teams, ranging in size from 3 -35 artists.
I possess a keen eye for visual balancing and quality, and try to always consider the accessibility-concerned player. I have strong interpersonal skills and work well with both internal and external teams.
I have experience with 3D (Maya, Blender) and 2D software apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, Substance), both proprietary and commercial game engines (Unreal and Unity).
My favorite software currently is Substance Suite.
My technical skills started in animation, however I am more of a JOAT artist, dabbling in models, materials and basic VFX. My recent pipeline experience is with VR, AR and mobile platforms, however I have worked in wide range of project pipelines.
I love to learn new skills as I go. A bit of hands on makes me happier than none at all; and ultimately, I love to help teams deliver.
